Kester the jester is the only person in modern times to be able to claim the title of state jester after winning a competition in 2004 held by English Heritage to become their jester. Subsequently the title was abandoned because of the fuss caused by others who weren't able to enter the competition. He has appeared on many TV shows (most recently as an expert on jesters for Celebrity Antiques Road Trip on BBC2) and worked all over the country from Kent to Cornwall, Cumbria to Northumberland, Norfolk and even occasionally in Wales. Amongst other places of work, he was the resident jester at The Beefeater at St Katherines Dock, has worked at Hampton Court, been the resident jester for The Devil's Horsemen, entertained for all branches of our military, worked at over 20 castles and performed at more Tithe Barns, Hotels & historic pubs than you can shake a stick at.

Whilst Kester often performs as a solo act, he also works as a double act with Fool Over, and can call on musicians, gymnasts, fire performers and others to make a truly memorable evening of medieval merriment.
